Diagnosis & Treatment –
Blank Vascular Center

The best vascular care combines expert diagnosis with highly skilled treatment capabilities. You’ll find those comprehensive services at the Blank Vascular Center at Jefferson Health – Abington.

Our experienced physicians – vascular and endovascular surgeons, and interventional radiologists – work with the latest technology in our on-site vascular laboratory.

Diagnosing Vascular Disease

Tests include Doppler ultrasound to assess blood flow, highlight blockages and diagnose conditions. X-ray images called angiograms examine problems through catheter-based endovascular techniques. Carotid ultrasound, MRI and other tests may be used.

Vascular Treatments

Many conditions receive minimally invasive treatments, offering fewer complications and faster recovery. Some of those therapies: angioplasty to relieve artery blockage and stent placement (to keep artery open); endovascular aneurysm repair or EVAR for treating aortic aneurysms; and endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) to seal off varicose veins.

When open solutions are needed, our surgeons have expertise with vascular bypass surgery, grafting, carotid endarterectomy, open aortic repair and other vascular surgeries. They also create hemodialysis access entry.
