Bladder & Kidney Cancers
Asplundh Cancer Pavilion
Patients with bladder cancer, kidney (renal) cancer or urinary tract cancer can receive expert comprehensive team care and personalized attention.
Our medical oncologists, cancer surgeons, radiation oncologists and urologists listen and understand your concerns. They are highly experienced with using the latest treatment technologies to provide you with the best care.
Diagnosing Bladder, Kidney & Urologic Cancers
We use sophisticated tests to reach a precise diagnosis. Testing includes intravenous pyelogram (IVP), renal arteriography, endoscopic examination, PET, MRI and CT scans, and biopsy. We also provide consultations (second opinions) for patients originally diagnosed elsewhere.
Newest Treatments, Personalized Approach
Our specialists develop your individualized treatment plan with you. Surgery can remove cancer in the bladder, kidney or lymph nodes and improve urine drainage. You may receive chemotherapy, immunotherapy and/or targeted therapy. Radiation treatment may be given after surgery or in combination with chemotherapy.
We take part in clinical trials research on bladder and kidney cancers. This gives our patients opportunities to participate and benefit from innovative approaches before new developments are widely available.
Fertility Preservation
Before starting any cancer treatment, talk with your oncologist about whether the therapy could affect your fertility. Our reproductive endocrinologists help with fertility preservation before cancer treatment or appropriate infertility treatment if cancer therapy has already been given.
Help Navigating Your Cancer Treatment
Whether you are newly diagnosed or in treatment, our cancer navigators provide help and support.
