Abington – Jefferson Health’s Division of Rehabilitation Medicine is dedicated to improving the quality of life by providing a comprehensive, team-based approach to physical, occupational and speech therapy in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. This is achieved by providing comprehensive patient evaluation and treatment, educating patients and families, and consulting with other healthcare providers. Patients receive personalized treatments in a comfortable setting, where they are able to build relationships with the dedicated staff.

With five convenient locations – Abington, Lansdale, Ambler, Warminster and Willow Grove – and a wide variety of services, the division offers a multitude of options to help meet patients’ needs and goals. Specialty services include:

  • The Lymphedema program which treats swelling related to lymph node damage or removal. Specially trained therapists offer manual lymph drainage and extremity bandaging.
  • Cancer-related fatigue program with physical therapists and exercise physiologists helps restore energy, regain daily activities.

Rehab Staff

Abington's Rehabilitation Medicine physicians are board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Therapists have completed specialty training in a multitude of modalities.

Our staff includes therapists with specific expertise in various clinical specialties, along with physical therapy assistants and exercise physiologists. We are unique in our ability to offer multiple services in one setting. The clinical expertise and core values of compassion and respect demonstrate the staff’s firm commitment to providing the highest quality of care for every patient, every day.
