When to Notify Your Physician
Between 28 and 32 Weeks:
- Decreased fetal movement.
- If you are having more than four contractions in an hour that last for more than two hours and do not respond to rest or fluids.
- If you think water has broken.
- If you are having any bleeding.
Between 33 and 37 weeks:
- If you are having more than six contractions in an hour that last for more than two hours and do not respond to rest or fluids.
- If you think water has broken.
- If the baby is not moving as much as usual.
- If you are having any bleeding.
More than 37 weeks:
- If you are having contractions five minutes apart, lasting at least 45 seconds and getting increasingly more intense
- If your water has broken (even without contractions.)
- If the baby is not moving as much as usual.
- If you are having any bleeding.
