Diagnostic Studies

MRI/MRA – a magnetic wave computerized imaging that provides pictures of the internal body part scanned, such as brain or blood vessel structure (arteries and veins) of the brain.

CT or CAT scan - provides a computerized image of an inner cross section of a certain part of your body, such as the brain or spine.

CTA or CT angiogram – is a CT scan with additional pictures with contrast to visualize the blood vessel structure (arteries and veins) of the brain.

Cerebral angiogram – an x-ray of the arterial blood vessels to show problems with the arteries within the body, such as aneurysms (a bulge in a weak portion of an artery wall), stenosis (a narrowing of a vessel limiting blood flow) or blockage of a blood vessel.
