Asplundh Cancer Pavilion

Welcome to Our Practice

We welcome you to our breast surgery practice. Our practice is comprised of three board-certified, female surgeons who are fellowship trained in breast surgery: Kristin L. Brill, MD, Stefania E. Nolano, DO and Francesca M. Delach, MD.

Our physicians treat benign and malignant breast issues. For those with breast cancer, they help each woman understand the specifics of her breast cancer diagnosis, keeping in mind that every woman’s experience is unique. They provide recommendation for treatment options, taking into account the tumor’s or tumors’ size(s), grade (speed of growth) and what is fueling the tumor’s growth (estrogen, progesterone or Her2). Personal and family history is also taken into consideration. The surgeon will use all of these factors to make a recommendation about whether a lumpectomy or mastectomy is best. Breast reconstruction, including nipple sparing and skin sparing, is available for many women choosing mastectomy.

Patients also have the option of having their case presented at the Breast Cancer Evaluation Service, commonly called a Tumor Board Conference, where a multi-disciplinary group of physicians representing Medical Oncology, Surgery, Pathology, Radiation Therapy, and more make recommendations for the patient’s care.

This care is supported by a breast nurse navigator who can answer questions, provide support and schedule appointments, as well as a nurse genetic counselor who can help women understand their familial risk for breast cancer. The Asplundh Cancer Pavilion also provides other forms of support for breast cancer patients such as the services of the Image Recovery Center, consultations with a nutrition expert, lymphedema treatments, social work support and an on-site financial assistance representative.

Our team specializes in the following areas:

Breast Conservation Surgery, Oncoplastic Surgery, Hidden Scar Certified, Nipple Sparing Mastectomy, Skin Sparing Mastectomy, Gynecomastia/Male Breast Cancer Patients, BRCA/High Risk Patients, Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Counseling & Monitoring, High Risk Patients, Lymphedema, Placement of Partial Breast Radiation Devices, Lymph Node Surgery/Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy, Breast Biopsy, Wire-guided Surgery.
