Renowned NJ Breast Surgeon Joins Abington – Jefferson Health to Form Three-Woman Practice of Fellowship Trained Breast Surgeons
ABINGTON, PA (July 14, 2020)--Breast Surgeon Kristin L. Brill, MD, FACS, has joined the medical staff of Abington Hospital – Jefferson Health to care for patients with benign and malignant breast disease at the Asplundh Cancer Pavilion. She joins Stefania E. Nolano, DO, FACS and Francesca M. Delach, MD to form a three-woman physician group of dynamic fellowship-trained breast surgeons.

Dr. Brill has also assumed the position of Enterprise Director of Breast Oncology for the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center – Jefferson Health. She will be responsible for overseeing the breast surgery programs at all Jefferson Health hospitals across the region.

In her new role, Dr. Brill brings expertise in breast-conserving surgery, nipple-sparing mastectomy, preventive mastectomy, reconstruction, accelerated partial breast radiation device placement, and clinical trials for breast cancer. Young women with breast cancer and those at high risk are Dr. Brill’s particular areas of focus.

Dr. Brill comes to Jefferson from MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, where she was program director of the Breast Care Center and director of the Section of Breast Surgery. Brill was also assistant professor of Surgery at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University in Camden, NJ. She also directed the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Cooper Medical School and was an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
After earning her bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA, Dr. Brill obtained her medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her internship and her surgical residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
Routinely named a “Top Doc” by Philadelphia Magazine and numerous New Jersey publications, Dr. Brill is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology and serves on the advisory board of Breastcancer.org.
