Abington and Lansdale Hospitals Receive 'A' for Patient Safety from Leapfrog
Abington, PA (May 28, 2019) – Abington Hospital – Jefferson Health and Abington – Lansdale Hospital were both awarded an ‘A’ for Patient Safety in the Spring 2019 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade.
The esteemed designation comes from the Leapfrog Group, a non-profit health care ratings organization that evaluates hospitals nationwide on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harms.
Abington and Lansdale hospitals were recognized for their efforts to provide safer health care and protect patients from harm.

Developed under the guidance of a national expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year. The grades are calculated by top patient safety experts, peer reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
