Meg McGoldrick Honored by Abington Community Taskforce
ABINGTON, PA (May 9, 2017) – Margaret (Meg) McGoldrick, president, Abington—Jefferson Health, was presented with the Abington Community Taskforce’s 2017 Community Builder Award at the Citizens That Care Recognition Reception on April 27, 2017 at the North Hills Country Club.
McGoldrick was recognized for her commitment to and leadership within the Abington community. As an advocate for community-building initiatives focused on increasing health care access—particularly for the underserved, McGoldrick has championed a number of important initiatives over the years, including the opening of Abington Hospital’s OB/GYN Center, which provides maternity services to the uninsured and underinsured.
McGoldrick is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a Baldrige Executive Fellow with the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. She serves on the board of directors of several organizations, including the Gift of Life Foundation, the Health Care Improvement Foundation, the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, the March of Dimes of Southeastern Pennsylvania and the EMS Council of Montgomery County. McGoldrick also serves as the board chair of the Keystone Alliance for Performance Excellence, the State of Pennsylvania Baldrige Alliance Program. Additionally, she is a member of the Dean’s Council of the Fox School of Business and Management at Temple University and is a life trustee of Philadelphia University.
McGoldrick earned a BA in Political Science and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Temple University. She received her MS in Organizational Dynamics and a M.Phil. in Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.

The Abington Community Taskforce (ACT) is a coalition of diverse organizations working together to enhance the effectiveness of programs and services for youth and their families in order to ensure a safe and caring community. ACT member organizations look for ways to provide needed programs and activities as well as to evaluate and improve on those already in existence for area children and youth.
