Wound Care Center Awarded Center of Distinction
(Lansdale, PA) May 10, 2010 — The Lansdale Hospital Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine has received the Center of Distinction Award. This award recognizes the Wound Center for high patient satisfaction rates, exceptional healing results and outstanding clinical outcomes over the past twelve months of 2009. The Wound Center has achieved success in treating and curing chronic and non-healing wounds and providing excellent care to patients since opening in 2005.
Physicians, leaders and clinicians will gather on at 2:00 pm Wednesday May 11, 2010 in the Wound Care Center at the hospital to receive the official award. This prestigious honor will be awarded by the Center's partner in wound healing, Diversified Clinical Services (DSC), the nation's leading wound care management company. Richard Minehart, MD, Director of the Wound Care Center, commented, "We are thrilled to accept this award and proud to offer the tremendous resources and expertise of wound healing to the North Penn community."
Our outpatient comprehensive wound care offers advanced healing therapies. We use an interdisciplinary approach to treatment involving a variety of therapies and techniques, including debridement, hyperbaric oxygen, skin substitutes, dressing selection, special shoes, and patient education. When wounds persist and resist conventional treatment, a specialized approach is required for healing.
