Lansdale Hospital Names Director of Diagnostic Cardiology

Lansdale, PA (April 30, 2009) – Clifford Ehrlich, MD, cardiologist has been appointed Director of Diagnostic Cardiology at Lansdale Hospital effective immediately. The announcement was made by Gary Candia, Ph.D., chief executive officer at Lansdale Hospital.

"Dr. Ehrlich is a highly-respected member of the physician community in the North Penn region and a key member of the medical staff at Lansdale Hospital. His clinical expertise will be critical as we develop and expand cardiology programs at Lansdale Hospital," Dr. Candia said.

In this role, Dr. Ehrlich will provide medical oversight and direction for diagnostic cardiology services at the Hospital, including the inpatient and outpatient programs. In addition, he will provide education and instruction to nursing and ancillary staff for the cardiology services. Dr. Ehrlich will report to Dr. Candia at Lansdale Hospital.

As a cardiologist with Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia, Dr. Ehrlich has been practicing in the North Penn community for more than 22 years. He will continue to see patients at the Lansdale Hospital campus in addition to fulfilling his new duties as Director of Diagnostic Cardiology. Dr. Ehrlich received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and his cardiology fellowship at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Ehrlich is an active member of the community, participating in educational programs, and providing volunteer support to many organizations, including the Friends of Hospice of the North Penn VNA, Congregation Beth Or of Maple Glen, and the Jewish Relief Agency. He resides in Blue Bell, PA.

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia, P. C, is a cardiology group that specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care. The group includes 80 physicians and over 60 cardiology professionals practicing in Philadelphia and the surrounding region. The Lansdale office is located in the Medical Office Building of Lansdale Hospital at 125 Medical Campus Drive.
