About the Program

Many individuals use alcohol responsibly, but because of alcohol’s mainstream acceptance and low perceived level of harm, it is unfortunately misused, abused and can significantly impact individual and community health. Despite the drinking age being 21, the 2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health reports 52.5 percent of full-time college students ages 18 to 22 drank alcohol in the past month, and 33 percent engaged in binge drinking in the past month This webinar will explore what is considered “low risk use,” moderate risk use” and “high risk use.” Discussions will include important information on: What is binge drinking, DUI impacts, as well as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders; and information that every person of childbearing age should be aware of.

This presentation is designed to provide attendees with up-to-date, non-biased information that will increase their knowledge base on the topic.
