We highly recommend this class to expectant mothers.
Classes are held on Mondays or Thursday evenings every month.
Our Prenatal Yoga Classes are taught by an experienced certified Prenatal Yoga instructor. This class is for expectant mothers who are both non- experienced and yoga practitioners. Participants will learn basic poses and movements to build strength, flexibility, breathing awareness and relaxation. All are important to help moms with comfort during the pregnancy and labor. You will learn how to alleviate the discomforts of pregnancy, such as back pain, hip pain, sciatica, heartburn, and swelling. Bring a yoga mat and bottle of water. Our yoga classes are for expectant mothers only. This is not a class for partners to attend.
Recent feedback from a mom who attended our Prenatal Yoga includes:
"I wanted to personally thank you for being such an amazing teacher! I was very fortunate to have had no complications or issues with my pregnancy and delivery and I truly believe a large part was the mental and physical strength I gained from your class. I looked forward to it every week and found your tips for laboring to be very helpful!"
"I believe practicing yoga helped me focus and have trust that my body was doing what it needed to bring this baby into the world! Thank you for all that you've done to support my pregnancy."
Prior to your first class you must have a signed waiver form from your doctor/ OB/GYN.
NOTE: *There may be space available in a class when the site states the class is closed. E-mail our Lead Childbirth Educator, Amy, at Amy.Goldberg@Jefferson.edu to inquire about possible open dates to attend *
