Dad Lab brings together men committed to becoming loving and skilled fathers. There are no lectures prescribing the "right" way to father. Instead, learning is generated through experimenting, dialogue and peer mentoring. The facilitator introduces core parenting best practices, validated by the most current research. Men are encouraged to tell their stories and think through fathering experiences together, discovering what works best for each.
Here's what one Dad Lab members says about his experience:
It is exceedingly rare to find an environment that encourages communication amongst men. That is precisely what makes Dadlab so valuable. Being able to talk with new fathers and fathers-to-be helped me deal with this new stage of my life. Dadlab helped me immensely by providing an outlet to speak about the challenges of parenthood and to learn what type of dad I want to become.
