The community of Abington is located five miles north of the City of Philadelphia in Montgomery County, PA. Abington Memorial Hospital is situated on route 611 a few miles south of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and serves a diverse suburban and urban population of patients. Many different cultural communities thrive in the area, with the Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese languages heard in the halls of the hospital. We have the opportunity to care for patients from all socioeconomic backgrounds including a large number of underserved patients in both the inpatient and office settings. Many patients are attracted by the professional, modern, and caring atmosphere at Jefferson Abington Hospital and its affiliated services and physician practices and are proud that their community hospital has such an excellent reputation in the Philadelphia area and beyond.
The greater Philadelphia area and the city itself offer an incredible array of cultural, historical, dining, shopping, professional sports, outdoor, and other activities. The area immediately surrounding the hospital has many suburban stores, movie theaters, and a large mall. Center City Philadelphia is a quick train or car ride from Abington.
