A student must be in good academic standing and have successfully completed the 3rd year core clinical clerkships at their respective medical school. Abington Memorial Hospital has no observership opportunities for international medical graduates.

Two-week electives are not available.


Students from AH affiliate institutions, TUH and DUCOM, may register for these electives by lottery. Following these two lotteries, PCOM students and other interested students should contact Judith McMichael for availability and registration.


Please do not contact the course directors for availability. However, questions about course content may be sent to the listed course director or Dr. Peff.

On Your First Day:

DO NOT report directly to the course director’s office. Please report promptly at 8 a.m., 2B Elkins building, Department of Medicine for mandatory orientation and computer training. Park in the Scully Garage on Old York Road.
