Academic Programs

Jefferson Abington Hospital (JAH) is recognized as a major regional teaching facility offering a full spectrum of clinical experiences from training medical students from local medical schools to two fellowship programs.

JAH’s residency program has more than 130 residents in family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery and dentistry. Residents rotating from university centers in orthopedic surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, psychiatry, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, urology and neurosurgery add to the academic environment.

JAH sponsors fellowships in bariatric surgery, geriatric medicine and neurointerventional. Jefferson Health – Abington is also committed to educating the next generation of nurses. The Thomas Jefferson University College of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Dixon Campus in Willow Grove.
