Jill Kyle, MBA, CFRE
Senior Vice President, Regional Advancement
Jill Kyle, senior vice president of regional advancement, joined Abington in 1999. She is an honorary member of the Abington Health Foundation Women’s Board, having previously served as president for four years. Jill earned a Master of Business Administration with distinction and an international perspective from Arcadia University and a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in psychology from Tulane University. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive, a member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. In 2009, Jill was awarded the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy Mid-Atlantic Region’s Award of Excellence.
Kathy Acker, stewardship associate, joined Abington Health Foundation in 2019. Before joining Abington, she previously held a position as marketing services manager for a manufacturing company. Kathy earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
Director, Major Gifts
Amy Buick, director of major gifts, joined Abington Health Foundation in 2012. Previously, she was a senior development associate with Koch Companies Public Sector. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Penn State University and an Associate of Arts from Bryn Athyn College.
Cathy Cawley, development officer, joined Abington in 1998. Previously, she served as director of annual giving at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and assistant director at Northwestern University Medical School’s Development Office. Cathy earned a Bachelor of Science in telecommunications from Kutztown University.
Donor Relations Officer
Christin Cliggett, donor relations officer, has been with Abington Health Foundation since 2014. Before joining Abington, she was corporate relations manager with The Moyer Foundation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications studies from the University of Rhode Island.
Lori Ferro, CFRE
Annual Giving Officer
Lori Ferro, annual giving officer, joined Abington in 2009. Previously, she served as marketing communications manager and director of development for Mercy Health System. She earned a Master of Arts in communications from Temple University, a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Baruch College and is a Certified Fundraising Executive.
Director of Development
Phil Kuhne, director of development, joined Abington in 2018. Previously, he worked at Penn Medicine as associate director, planned giving. Phil earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Maryland.
Nicholle Lawyer, gifts coordinator, has been with Abington since 2002. Prior to her current role, she worked in the Department of Patient Care Services, most recently as program coordinator. Nicholle earned a Bachelor of Science in management and marketing from Penn State University.
Development/Planned Giving Associate
Debbie Maha, development/planned giving associate, joined Abington in 2007. She previously worked as office manager for Manor College and membership coordinator for the Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.

Kristin Rey, manager of the Women’s Board & Auxiliaries, joined Abington in 1983. Prior to her current role, she was the assistant to the President of Abington Hospital. She earned an Associate of Arts in business administration from Manor College.
Secretary, Women’s Board & Auxiliaries
Radeen Scott, secretary, Women’s Board and Auxiliaries, has been with Abington since 2008. Prior to her current role, she was a staff assistant in Administration. She earned an Associate’s degree in computer science from Berean Institute.
Business Manager, Women’s Board & Auxiliaries
Lynn Shorday-Appelbaum, business manager of the Women’s Board & Auxiliaries, joined Abington in 2012. She previously was an entrepreneur and independent consultant. Lynn earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration/marketing from Villanova University.
Monica Simon, MSN, RN, GPC, CFRE
Monica Simon, grants officer, has been with Abington since 1984. Prior to her current role with Abington Health Foundation, she was an oncology nurse at Abington Hospital. Monica earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy University. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive and received Grants Professional Certification.
