My AMH Story Masthead

Felicia Zegler

Visitor and Family Member of Patient

When my father was rushed to AMH in February 2011 with a severe brain injury, the doctors and staff not only put their hearts and souls into saving his life; they also helped me transition into what quickly became my second home.

When days turned into months, I was able to find little bits of sunshine at Abington: The chocolate pudding with Oreo cookie bits in the cafeteria; those that spoke to my father about anything and everything when he couldn’t speak for himself; bonding with families that were sitting in a boat that strangely resembled my own.

Today, my “Daddy” is alive because of Abington. This is my thank you.
