Facts About the Pain Center
The Pain Center at Abington – Lansdale Hospital provides a patient centered model for the treatment and management of pain related diagnoses. This multi-disciplinary model has a designated navigator to coordinate and schedule all pain related appointments for each patient. For added patient convenience, most procedures are done on an outpatient same day basis.

The medical director of the Pain Center is Jay M. Mergaman, M.D. He provides care and oversees the patient care in the center.
By having a multi-disciplinary approach, Primary Care Physicians have the ability to refer to one source, which streamlines the care efficiently patients. This approach allows for a specific treatment regimen for each patient. This regimen may include any combination of medication management, drug scans, physical therapy, interventional pain management, neurology and physiatry. You can feel confident that you will receive the highest quality of care, delivered with warmth and compassion.
