Interventional Cardiology

The newest ways to diagnose and treat heart conditions often use a thin, flexible catheter, or tube, to conduct procedures.

Interventional cardiology uses these catheterization methods for a wide range of problems, including coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, heart valve conditions and congenital heart disease.

At Abington Health’s Heart and Vascular Institute, our interventional cardiologists perform catheter-assisted techniques in our six specialized cardiac catheterization laboratories.

The high quality and cost-efficiency of our heart services have earned Abington Memorial Hospital recognition as a Blue Distinction Center+ for Cardiac Care® by Independence Blue Cross.Blue Distinction Center+ for Cardiac Care
