Heart Attack

Symptoms of heart attack include nausea, sweating, chest pain, weakness and feeling faint with exertion. Call 911 immediately for emergency help when signs indicate a possible heart attack.

Abington Health has the latest diagnostic technology for heart attack. The experts at the Heart and Vascular Institute team with specialists at Abington Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Trauma Center, the only regional trauma center in Montgomery County, and Lansdale Hospital’s Emergency Department to provide advanced heart attack treatments round-the-clock.

Causes of Heart Attack

When blood can’t flow freely through the heart because of blockage from a clot or other substance, a heart attack can happen. Also called myocardial infarction or MI, a heart attack may result from hardening of the arteries, coronary artery disease or other conditions.
