Our Facility

Safe Harbor provides a warm and comfortable environment that enables the staff to support grieving children, teens, young adults and their families.  
Support Group Rooms filled with cushions, comfortable chairs or bean bags and stuffed animals offer an inviting environment where participants can relax during group activities and sharing sessions.

Our spacious and well supplied art room is filled with materials which encourage participants to express their emotions and creativity.

Music Room

Surrounded by beautiful, calming murals, the music room serves as a recording space filled with instruments, drums and equipment to foster expression of feelings through music and rhythm.

Volcano Room

With its cushioned walls, floors and punching bags, our Volcano room creates a place where children can express their anger, rage or sadness, or just have fun letting off steam  within a protected setting.

Large Playroom

This room fosters healing for the youngest children as they engage in role play and free play, and bond with new friends.  The room has areas for dress-up, puppet theatre, and art.

Parent/ Caregiver Room

The Parent/ Caregiver Room offers a quiet place where grieving parents and caregivers can meet and share with others undergoing similar experiences with loss.

Butterfly Garden

We also have a Butterfly Garden where groups sometimes meet for memorial candle lightings or to paint special messages on garden stones.  This garden is lovingly maintained by our volunteers.
