Measuring Our Quality
Meeting the measurements
Good information helps you to be an active partner in your own care and to make good decisions about your health and health care. In the past few years, government, insurance carriers, accrediting bodies and hospitals have been working on finding ways to accurately and fairly define and measure quality. A number of quality measures have been adopted by both national and state organizations. These measures may not answer every question, but they help provide insight into the hospital's dedication to providing patients with the highest level of care.
In this section, we report objective information about the quality of the care provided by Abington – Jefferson Health. These results show how well we do in some key areas compared to other hospitals statewide and across the nation.
We encourage you to review the information about our services and quality measures and to discuss them with your physician and other members of your health care team.
As we continue to develop information about quality for this section of our website, we will increase the number of categories we include.
