Abington Memorial Hospital Home Care Receives 2012 Best of Willow Grove Award

ABINGTON, PA (May 8, 2012) — For the fifth consecutive year, Abington Memorial Hospital has been selected for the Best of Willow Grove Award in the Home Health Service category by the US Commerce Association (USCA). This is the first time that a business has qualified as a Five-Time Award Winner.

The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized, especially for the fifth consecutive year,” said Elissa Della Monica, executive director, Home Care and Hospice. “It’s a testament to the work our team does and we strive to win this award for at least another five years!”

Abington Memorial Hospital Home Care (AMHHC) provides cost-effective, high-quality, multidisciplinary health and hospice care to individuals of all ages, to improve health, prevent illness and enable terminally ill patients to remain at home. Every year, thousands of patients and their families in the Delaware Valley turn to Abington Memorial Hospital Home Care for compassionate, skilled nursing and other care in the comfort and security of home. Patients rely on AMHHC to provide professional care and sophisticated procedures in their own familiar and reassuring surroundings.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2011 USCA Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.
