Our Philosophy of Care

Our philosophy of care is to treat each patient as if he or she were a member of our family and to provide the most current therapies available.

After Hours/Emergency Care

What Is An Emergency?

  • Fever of 100.5 degrees or more (if you are currently receiving treatment)
  • Uncontrolled pain
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea that you are unable to control
  • Bleeding
  • Shortness of breath – new, unusual, severe
  • Change in mental status
  • Loss of muscle control or function
  • Other problems you think are unusual or of concern.


In Case Of An Emergency
If you have an emergency during office hours: Call our office at 215-481-2400 and select option 1 for emergency.  If you are too ill and you cannot wait a few minutes to talk to someone, please hang up and call 911.

If you have an emergency after office hours: Call 215-481-2400. You will be connected to our answering service. A physician will return your call. Please stay close to the phone. If you do not get a response within 20 minutes, please call again.

Prescription Refills and Referrals

Please call 215-481-2400 and select option 4. You may do this during normal business hours only.

We will need the following information:

  • Your name – first and last name (spell your last name)
  • Your date of birth
  • Name of your physician
  • The name of the medication to be refilled
  • The telephone number and name of your pharmacy

Prescriptions called in between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. will be filled the same day. It is our goal to fill your prescription within four hours of your call. Messages left after business hours will be attended to the next day.

For referrals, please provide:

  • Patient's name
  • Date of birth
  • Specialist's name, test or service
  • Insurance plan and ID number
  • Reason for referral

Parking

Discounted parking is available for patients in The Rosenfeld Cancer Center parking lot. Patients may purchase a monthly parking pass directly from the valet attendant. If you prefer to pay as you go, our front desk staff has a stamp available for you to stamp your parking ticket for a discounted rate.
