Expectant parents have many questions about parenting and caring for a newborn. We are proud to offer this opportunity through our Department of Pediatrics and Childbirth Education, "Ask the Pediatrician".
A representative from our Pediatric Staff and a Certified Childbirth Education Nurse will be available to answer your questions. In this unique class, the Pediatrician will discuss newborn hearing & cardiac screenings and the state mandated testing performed before your baby goes home with you. Also covered will be information on immunizations, what to expect when you go home with your newborn, SIDS, safe sleeping, tummy time, car seat safety and general newborn health concerns. We encourage you to bring your questions for the open forum question and answer sesssion. Grandparents often find that they have many questions and are welcome to attend this lecture as well. Choosing a Pediatric Care Provider for your baby is an important decision and your questions on this and every other topic are welcomed. This lecture is offered free of charge several times a year and requires pre-registration as space is limited. We will provide a parking card to cover your parking costs.
