Caring for the Underserved – Abington Health Clinics

Health Services for the Uninsured and Underinsured

Abington Health is committed to serving as the most trusted healthcare partner for all. We work hard to ensure that everyone has access to the health care they need. In addition to 24/7 emergency treatment, medically necessary healthcare services are available to all individuals regardless of race, color, creed, gender, sexual preference, national origin or ability to pay.

We address unmet needs of vulnerable populations, the poor, minorities, and other underserved groups through our community benefit programs.

Patients with financial needs may be eligible for Abington Health’s financial assistance program after completing the application and supplying the appropriate paperwork.

The following are listings of those programs, as well as other programs in the area with which Abington Health is a partner.

Primary Care 

North Hills Health Center

Primary care services with scheduled appointments. Services include:

  • Routine checkups/physical exams for infants, children, teens, adults and seniors
  • Well and sick visits
  • Immunizations for infants, children and adults
  • Care for chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure
  • Comprehensive women’s health care

Patients schedule appointments. Social work services include medications and insurance assistance. On-site Korean interpreters are available.

Abington Family Medicine

Caring for patients of all ages, with specialists in children, youth, teens, adult and senior medicine. Primary care services with scheduled appointments. Services include:

  • Routine checkups/physical exams for infants, children, teens, adults and seniors
  • Well and sick visits
  • Immunizations for infants, children and adults
  • Care for chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure
  • Comprehensive women’s health care

Women’s & Children's Health and Newborn Care

Abington Health Children's Clinic

The Children’s Clinic provides a full range of services to children from birth through 21 years of age who are on Medical Assistance, CHIP or who do not have health insurance or outpatient coverage. Patients are seen by scheduled appointments. Social work services for insurance applications available to established patients.

Corinne Santerian Newborn Center

Well-baby check-up visits for newborns born at AMH, who are uninsured, from birth to three months of age, until health insurance is in place, and a primary care provider for your baby is established.

Affordable dental care for individuals, children, families and seniors who are without dental insurance.  Some insurances are accepted. Appointments are required.

Home Health Care

Abington’s Home Care department provides a full range of healthcare services in the home, including therapeutic treatment, wound care, patient and family education, medication administration and more. Other services include palliative and hospice care, physical, occupational and speech therapies, home health aides and social services. As part of Abington Health, the financial assistance policy is available for patients who do not have insurance and are not able to pay for the cost of home care. Visit the Home Health Care webpage.

Montgomery County Health Department Communicable Disease Clinic

Provides HIV and Sexually Transmitted Disease [STD] testing and counseling services to all Montgomery County residents over age 13. These free services are provided at sites listed below. Call for TB or latent TB infection and immunization clinic information.
